Two Qualifiers, One Day, One Piece of History
Greaves first came through the Tour Card Holder Qualifier for European Tour event 11, beating Tom Bissell 6-4 while averaging 103.03 to book her place at the Hungarian Darts Trophy. She then went again in the qualifier for European Tour event 12, this time needing a decider to see off Lukas Wenig 6-5 and secure a second European Tour debut at the Czech Darts Open.
No woman had previously qualified for a PDC European Tour event. Greaves managed it twice inside the same qualifying day — a result that sits alongside the other milestones she has collected in her first year as a full PDC Tour Card holder.
Part of a Trailblazing 2026
The European Tour double is the latest entry in a season that has already rewritten the record books. In February, Greaves became the first woman to hit a nine-darter on the PDC ProTour, landing the perfect leg against Mensur Suljovic at Players Championship 6 in Leicester. Then in April she went further still, beating three former world champions — including Rob Cross and Gary Anderson — across her last three matches at Players Championship 11, before edging Michael Smith 8-7 in the final on a 142 checkout to become the first woman to win a PDC ranking title.
She followed that with a third Women’s World Matchplay title in four years, beating Fallon Sherrock 6-5 in a deciding-leg final at the Winter Gardens in July. The European Tour qualification double now adds a fourth distinct piece of history to a single calendar year.
What’s Next
Greaves’ European Tour debut comes at the Hungarian Darts Trophy, held 28-30 August 2026 at the MVM Dome in Budapest, where she’ll face PDC Tour Card holders in a full ranking event for the first time outside the Players Championship floor. Her second appearance follows soon after at the Czech Darts Open, held 4-6 September 2026 at PVA Expo Praha in Prague.
Both are standard European Tour ranking events, meaning any prize money Greaves earns will count towards the main PDC Order of Merit — a different table entirely from the Women’s Series she has dominated. How she fares against a full men’s PDC field over the best-of-11-legs European Tour format will be one of the more closely watched subplots of the autumn calendar.
