2026 Premier League โ Final Standings
Humphries Comes Back from the Dead
There was a point in the semi-final where it looked like Luke Humphries was going out. Three-nil down to Luke Littler, the defending champion โ who had been without a nightly win all season โ looked as though he might miss The O2 entirely. What followed was one of the more dramatic momentum swings Night 15 has seen.
Humphries won six consecutive legs from 0-3 down to take the semi-final 6-3, averaging 110.98 across the match. He did not simply survive โ he dominated once he found his rhythm. Littler, who had averaged a ton-plus in whitewashing Jonny Clayton in the quarter-final, was powerless to stop the wave once Humphries got rolling.
The Final: Humphries 6-4 Price
Gerwyn Price arrived in the final having beaten Michael van Gerwen 6-4 in the quarters โ a match in which the Welshman fired in eight 180s and averaged 101 โ before seeing off Gian van Veen 6-4 in the semis with a 112 average and 66% on doubles.
But Humphries had one more gear to find. He averaged 100.16 in the final and took out 117 to seal a 6-4 win and his first nightly title of the 2026 season. His reaction said everything โ it had been a hard-fought campaign to reach this point, and he knew it.
"I'm incredibly proud of myself," Humphries said afterwards. "Probably the most proud I've ever been in my life." The defending champion, who came into Night 15 sitting five points outside the top four, had produced the perfect night when it mattered most.
Littler Tops the Table โ Again
Even in defeat, Luke Littler secured something significant on Thursday night. His 6-0 whitewash of Clayton earlier in the evening confirmed him as the table-topper for the third Premier League campaign in a row โ an extraordinary consistency for a player still only 18 years old.
Littler has now equalled his own record for nightly wins in a single Premier League season. His ranking on the PDC Order of Merit already reflects his position as world number one, and a third consecutive Finals Night appearance as league leader further cements that status.
MvG and Van Veen Eliminated
The night brought harsh news for the Dutch contingent. Michael van Gerwen โ who had just won Players Championship 15 with a 122 average days earlier โ was beaten 6-4 by Price in Birmingham despite a competitive match, and his elimination from the playoffs was confirmed. It was the outcome MvG had been fighting hardest to avoid, and it will sting given the form he showed in Leicester.
Gian van Veen, ranked third in the Order of Merit, also exits at the league stage, despite averaging over 102 in his quarter-final win over Josh Rock. Van Veen's semi-final loss to Price โ who converted 66% of his doubles โ ended his night. Both Dutch players will need to regroup ahead of the summer's major events.
Stephen Bunting and Josh Rock were also eliminated. Bunting was whitewashed 6-0 by Humphries in the quarter-finals, while Rock lost 6-3 to Van Veen.
